Description

A delicious twist on the classic corn dog, featuring gooey cheese and a spicy Flamin’ Hot crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1 cup crushed Flamin’ Hot Cheetos
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Insert skewers into hot dogs and dip them into the batter.
  5. Coat the battered hot dogs with shredded cheese.
  6. Roll the cheese-coated hot dogs in crushed Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.
  7. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Fry the corn dogs until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  9. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
