Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cardamom.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the diced pears gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan and spread evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, oats, and chopped nuts to create the crumb topping.
- Sprinkle the crumb topping over the batter in the sheet pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
