Description

A delicious and easy recipe for restaurant-style shrimp lo mein with a flavorful vegetable sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, broccoli)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Stir in soy sauce and oyster sauce, mixing well.
  7. Add the cooked lo mein noodles and toss everything together until well combined.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to use any vegetables you have on hand.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sriracha.
  • This dish can be made with chicken or tofu instead of shrimp for a different protein option.
