- 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons tikka masala spice blend
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 4 naan breads
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in yogurt and tikka masala spice blend for at least 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until golden brown.
- Add garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute.
- Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and season with salt, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook basmati rice according to package instructions.
- Serve the chicken tikka masala over rice with naan on the side, garnished with fresh cilantro.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add more tikka masala or chili powder.
