Description

Delicious chicken tikka skewers marinated in a flavorful yogurt mixture, perfect for Ramadan celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, vegetable oil, garlic paste, ginger paste, garam masala, cumin powder, paprika, turmeric powder, and salt.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  6. Serve hot with mint chutney and naan or rice.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • Adjust spices according to your taste preference.
  • Can be served with a side of salad for a complete meal.
