Description
Pistachio kunafa rolls are a delicious Middle Eastern dessert made with crispy kunafa pastry, filled with a sweet pistachio mixture, and drizzled with syrup.

- 200g kunafa pastry
- 100g unsalted butter, melted
- 150g pistachios, finely chopped
- 100g sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp rose water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix the chopped pistachios with sugar.
- Take a portion of kunafa pastry and spread it out on a clean surface.
- Brush the pastry with melted butter.
- Place a line of the pistachio mixture along one edge of the pastry.
- Roll the pastry tightly around the filling to form a roll.
- Place the rolls on a baking tray and brush the tops with more melted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, prepare the syrup by boiling water and sugar together until it thickens slightly, then add rose water.
- Once the rolls are done, drizzle the syrup over them while they are still warm.
Notes
- Make sure to keep the kunafa pastry covered to prevent it from drying out.
- You can substitute pistachios with other nuts if desired.
- Serve warm for the best taste.
