- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, coat the chicken pieces with cornstarch and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet and stir to coat.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions.
Notes
- For extra crunch, double fry the chicken pieces.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to the sauce.
- Serve with steamed rice or fried rice for a complete meal.
