Ingredients
- Kunafa dough – 250g
- Unsalted butter – 100g, melted
- Dark chocolate – 200g, chopped
- Milk – 1 cup
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Vanilla extract – 1 tsp
- Pistachios – for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix the kunafa dough with melted butter until well coated.
- Spread half of the kunafa mixture in a greased baking dish.
- Melt the dark chocolate with milk, sugar, and vanilla extract in a saucepan over low heat.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the first layer of kunafa.
- Top with the remaining kunafa mixture, pressing down gently.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving, and garnish with crushed pistachios.
